Jet Chiang

Software Engineer, Solo.io | ECE, University of Toronto

Jet works at the intersection of AI and cloud native at Solo.io, where he focuses on building agentic platform on Kubernetes for enterprises to build, scale, and govern AI workloads. He is also a maintainer at Kagent, an open source agent runtime on Kubernetes hosted by Cloud Native Computing Foundation.

He studies Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He previously worked as an undergraduate researcher at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence on AI in large-scale deliberation and at the National University of Singapore on ML for Science. Before that, he developed open-source toolings for fine-tuning LLMs at Google DeepMind, as part of the Google Summer of Code program.

He enjoys taking on difficult challenges, including balancing part-time work with raising for his startup and a near-perfect GPA, and becoming a medalist at two National Olympiads in the same year while organizing Ottawa's largest high school tech conference.

In his free time, he enjoys travelling, reading literature, and discussing philosophy.
